Kota Sarees

Kota Doria, also known as Kota Dori, is a lightweight fabric that originated in Kota, a city in the Rajasthan state of India. It is made using a special weaving technique that involves blending cotton or silk threads in a grid-like pattern, resulting in a delicate and transparent fabric. The fabric is known for its distinct square-shaped checkered pattern, which is achieved by weaving together fine cotton or silk threads in the warp and weft.
