Considered as very auspicious by people of Gujarat & Rajasthan, Bandhani sarees are produced by skilled artisans and their families. Bandhani also known as 'Bhandej' is a tie & dye technique involving extensive process where the fabric is tied at certain areas to form a pattern, dipped for dyeing and then dried.
The peculiar Bandhani dots are used to create different patterns from traditional floral to contemporary ones. The base fabric must be flexible to the pressure given while creating the patterns. Bandhanis at Prashanti is available in Taffeta Silk, Chiffon & Semi Georgette. The colors used are vibrant in Red, Maroon, Green etc.
