Uppada Silks

The name uppada is synonymous with the silk sarees woven in jamdani style. They are made by a handful of weavers living in the quaint little village of Uppada located in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is quite remarkable to know how these people learnt a trade that was entirely foreign to them, added a touch of local culture to the weave and then rose to become the exclusive manufacturers of silk sarees that are now known worldwide by the name of their village which spans just over four square kilometres.

The uppada silk is enriched with gold zari to add radiance to the attire. The translucent sarees are lightweight and easy to carry. They're a marvellous choice for party wear, religious festivals and family events
